3rd Day of Christmas – Forgive those who have hurt you.
One of the hardest things is to forgive others for hurting us and to forgive ourselves too.
We all say and do things that we don’t intentionally mean to do. We all act at times from the wounded part of us and we make judgments about others and ourselves and have outbursts.
Hopefully, we learn from these experiences and make new choices. Sometimes we don’t and we repeat the same mistakes OR we can be trapped in relationships where we allow others to abuse, negate, hurt and disrespect us. That’s when we need to forgive ourselves and find deep compassion.
Forgiveness is sometimes a moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day requirement… it’s essential to healthy mental wellbeing and physical health too.
If during Xmas you have upsets with people, choose compassionate kindness for yourself and send them love, apologise and let it go… don’t berate yourself or give yourself a hard time.
