This used to be one of my biggest challenges, I always saw asking for help as a weakness and I didn’t want to seem weak.
I’ve learned it’s not, it’s a strength to recognize when we need help, when we don’t have the resources or skills for something in our lives.
Also asking for help is an opportunity to receive love from others. Family, friends, people we know, if we let them love to help, they love to give and it allows others to contribute, feel good and to give their love.
Often we don’t ask because we’re afraid of rejection.
Do yourself a favour this Xmas and ask for help and support, especially if you’re alone, recently separated or getting divorced.
Whether it’s putting up the tree, getting logs in for the fire, help with transport, help in the kitchen, etc, enlist family members and make it all part of festive fun.
